The Retainer Service is aimed at Clients who wish to have a full Health and Safety consultancy support.

  • Trojan Safety and Risk Management Ltd will provide telephone advice and telephone support to the Client between 09.00-17.00hrs Monday to Friday (except Public/ Bank Holidays).
  • Regular health, safety and environmental updates will be emailed to the Client via our newsletter email service.
  • The issue of a Retainer Certificate stating Trojan Safety and Risk Management Ltd will act as the Client’s Appointed Person under Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
  • Appointed Account Manager who will be the single point of contact for the Client.
  • An option of either:
    1. Production and annual review of a Health & Safety Policy.
    2. A face to face meeting with your Account Manager (one per year). Can be used as a Health & Safety Committee which required for schemes such as CHAS or just an informal meeting to discuss company performance and ways to improve.
  • Telephone support and advice for pre-qualification questionnaires and safety qualification schemes such as Construction Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS) and Safety Management Advisory Service (SMAS). Note – if you require us to actually do the qualification for you this will be charged at an hourly rate or an agreed day rate.

All other work including policy updates (excluding annual review), procedure development, physical completion of pre-qualification questionnaires, site visits and other consultancy work or training will be charged at the agreed hourly or day rates.

Trojan Safety and Risk Management Ltd offer two types of audits which they can undertake for you.

A Compliance audit – Independent Audit on Health and Safety Management systems and procedures to ensure that the organisation is compliant with laws and legislation.

An on-site site scored inspection – Our auditor will visit your workplace and/or site as required and undertake a scored inspection where we will check employees are working within a safe environment and to the specific requirements set by the organisation.

You can choose your own parameters and KPI’s – In fact you can set the standards you expect, the equipment you accept and who receives which actions.

Once on site, we undertake the audit raising any hazards with photo evidence to you immediately so there is no time delay in getting issues resolved.

It is a legal requirement that organisations have documented risk assessments if you have five or more employees.

A range of risk assessments will be required as evidential support for SSiP accreditation and some insurers require sight of risk assessments before providing cover.

We at Trojan Safety and Risk Management can guide you through this process and ensure robust Risk Assessments are in place for your organisation.

Trojan Safety and Risk Management will be able to assist in producing Health, Safety and Environmental Policy documents as well as other supporting SHE documents (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, Manual Handling Assessments)

The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 don’t just affect big construction sites, the regulations incorporate all aspects of construction work, regardless of the size of the project.

We can assist a client by being the competent Health and Safety Advisor. We can also assist with producing the Construction Phase Plans

Our consultants have been trained and are competent in undertaking incident investigations. If an incident occurs, dependant on the severity timescales for attending site will have to be agreed. A full incident investigation will be undertaken with the root cause being established and shared to prevent any reoccurrence.

SSIP Scheme Assistance (CHAS / Safecontractor / Construction online)

Trojan Safety and Risk Management are fully conversant will all types of SSIP schemes. We can assist the client in gaining the qualification or we can do the qualification on their behalf.

Health and Safety Policy / Management System

Organisations have a legal duty to put in place suitable and sufficient arrangements to manage their Health and Safety.

Trojan Safety and Risk Management can assist clients in creating a robust Health and Safety Management System which will comply with HSG65

Trojan Safety and Risk management will working with our clients to create or co-create a robust health and safety policy which ensures compliance with the current legislation. The policy we create for you will be bespoke to your business as required. By law employers who employ more 5 or more employees are required to have a policy statement
